Sherpa has made the difficult decision to postpone all 2021 Best Sales Performers Workshops, a continuation of our Culture Starter series, until next year.
We know that the biggest breakthroughs and most valuable conversations happen when people meet face-to-face. And so it’s with a heavy heart that we are making this announcement to postpone all of this year’s in-person Workshops. Rather than offer a virtual alternative, we’re going to regroup and use the time to plan for even more purposeful, fun and safe in-person events in 2022.
If the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that we can’t predict the future. We loved hosting virtual training and events in 2020 and were very much looking forward to bringing in-person back this year. Unfortunately, we no longer feel that our plan is the best path forward.
So we’re pivoting… again.
We talk a lot about navigating uncertainty and how it requires us to think on our feet and be willing to change course. So, it’s time for us at Sherpa to get vulnerable and state our intentions: we aren’t ready to bring back our in-person events in a way that would maximize the benefits of Prospect-Centered Selling training, so we will focus on delivering the best experience possible next year.
Here are some of the factors that went into our decision:
- The uncertainty around new variants and continued travel restrictions for our international Sherpas is worrying, and we want to not only keep people safe but also comfortable interacting with one another.
- Feedback from our customers and leadership is that many of us aren’t ready to huddle up and experience larger, in-person gatherings yet – we want to include everyone.
- We’ve thought long and hard and it makes the most sense for us to take this opportunity to further develop our trainings that make the most sense for selling in a world that is not fully out of the pandemic, and we don’t know when we will truly be “in the clear.”
We’re so grateful to those who have already registered, and we will work with you on options for online training alternatives and/or participation in other future events. As the Sherpa family keeps growing, we want to stay true to our commitment to exceptional and transformative training.
