Background

As Chief Customer Officer, Matt plans, directs and coordinates the execution of Sherpa’s customer relationship strategy. He is responsible for ensuring that the Sherpa customer comes first and that all of our team members have the resources and support necessary to partner with our customers in guiding change.

Matt has 16 years of marketing and sales experience in the senior living industry. His prior responsibilities include Partner & Chief Marketing Officer of Havensworth Senior Living and Partner & Vice President of Marketing and Operations at Courtyard Senior Living. Matt has also presented for the Sales and Marketing Curriculum at Erickson School Executive MBA Program at the University of Maryland; and, he has been a contributor for the annual Advanced Sales & Marketing Summit for Senior Housing, Assisted Living and Nursing Industries.

Matt was born and raised in Orem, Utah, at the foot of Wasatch Mountains. He has climbed and skied mountains throughout the United States and South America. Prior to college, Matt lived in Argentina for two years as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He then earned a finance degree in 2003 from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University. Matt’s happiest moments are spent with his wife and four children.
